Dispute mediation
What happens when a deal goes sideways.
Disputes are opened from either side at any point while funds are in escrow. Our ops team treats every dispute as paused-transaction — funds don't move until the mediation closes.
Grounds for dispute
- Machine materially differs from listing description or inspection report
- Machine not delivered by the agreed window
- Documentation incomplete or forged
- Service tender not completed to scope
Mediation process
- Either party files via the in-app form or
POST /v1/escrow/{id}/dispute - Rekyndo ops contacts both parties within 4 working hours
- Evidence-gathering window · typically 5 business days
- Mediator recommendation · both parties accept, counter, or escalate to binding arbitration
- Resolution · funds either release, refund, or partial-settle per the mediation outcome
Mediation fees
Mediation is included on Business and up. On Starter, a flat €350 is charged to the losing party; if no clear loser, split 50/50. Binding arbitration (rare) follows the arbitration rules of the operator's jurisdiction.
