Benchmark against platform comps; don't guess.

Under-pricing is as costly as over-pricing: under-priced listings close in hours but lose 10–20% you could have gotten; over-priced listings sit for months and the hold-cost (depreciation + opportunity cost) typically exceeds the gap you were trying to capture.

Use comps from your console

The listing studio surfaces the last 30 comparable closes — same OEM, same class, similar age + hours — from Rekyndo's settled-deal database. Price ±5% of the median closes fastest.

Adjust for condition

  • Subsystem Grade A → no adjustment
  • Grade B on a minor subsystem → −5% from median comp
  • Grade B on a major subsystem (hydraulics / drivetrain) → −10%
  • Grade C on any subsystem → quote the repair, discount by the repair cost + 10%

Reserve price on Open-for-offers

Setting a reserve that's more than 15% above the median comp reduces offer volume by ~60% in our data. Prefer a tight reserve (within 5% of median) and negotiate.
